This “Wiki” is designed to assist students with learning how to write a compare and contrast essay. It consists of tutorials on how to get access to the “Wiki” using “Google”, a tutorial on writing a compare and contrast essay, and how to submit the essay to “Smart Thinking”.

Once the student has completed these tutorials, they will have sucessfully written a compare and contrast essay.

In the supplemental section of this “Wiki” students will find several different websites that will assist them with the different challenges students may encounter in their writings. (spelling, word meanings and correct grammer)

Accessing the Wiki

Students that will be editing this “Wiki” will need and email account.  This tutorial will help students create an account using “Google”.  To start the tutorial Click Here.

Compare and Contrast 

The compare and contrast essay tutorial will guide the student through the steps of how to write the a compare and contrast essay.  The websites listed in the resource section will also help the student to get started with other descriptions of how to write the essay, examples of compare and contrast essay subjects and finally samples of compare and contrast essays. Posting to Smart Thinking

After the student has sucessfully written their compare and contrast essay, they must submit the essay to "Smartthinking."  "Smartthinking" is a program designed to help the student to improve the first draft of their essay.  The first "draft" of a paper should never be the "final" draft.

The tutorial below will give them a step-by-step guide to what "Smartthinking" is and how to use it sucessfully.
